• National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools
A pdf document from the Department of Health outlining national minimum standards for inspecting boarding schools. These apply to all mainstream boarding schools for pupils up to 18, and are intended to "safeguard and promote the welfare of children for whom accommodation is provided by a boarding school". The standards cover welfare policies and procedures; organisation and management; welfare support to boarders; staffing and premises.
