A Thanet fee-charging prep school has warned parents of a serious security breach.
Wellesley House School, in Broadstairs, sent a letter to parents warning people of the incident and advising them of changes being made as a result.
It has been described as a “data security incident”.
Geraldine Baird, PA to the Headmaster, has issued a letter warning fee-paying parents the day and boarding school’s bank account details have not changed.
In the letter she said: “Since the incident was discovered, our specialist data security provider has been performing an analysis of our IT systems.”
Mrs Baird said after the analysis is complete, parents will be informed if any data has been compromised that they should be aware of.
